My CVTC
Last fall, CVTC’s web portal received a small face lift when the logon page was redesigned. During the summer and early fall of 2008 My CVTC will continue its transformation. The expected rollout of the new system is mid-semester, but more details will be communicated as they are available. The new system is being updated in a two-fold manner.
- The interior of My CVTC will be revamped in look and feel to match the logon page. The existing three column layout will be changed to a two column layout to simplify the design and help people find information more easily.
- The structure and functionality will also receive a major upgrade as the IT Department leverages powerful technology to create a new foundation for the system. This new technology will provide several key improvements:
- Built in collaboration tools
- Versioning control
- The ability to restore deleted documents without having to call the Help Desk
- A powerful search capability to search all information found within My CVTC
- Improved forms management (searching, electronic forms)
- And much more!
A status report and preview of the new system has been scheduled during Faculty In-Service.
